In the Snug with Edgar

Here as promised is blog no. 1 from Mr E Jones of Free Peace;
Thurs 12th March 2009 (jan/early feb) howdydo sweet people sorry there’s been no word from me til now but those familiar with the joneses myspace will know i’m a complete luddite and rarely sit in front of a computer unless there’s a copy of dave bartholomew’s ‘the monkey’ (got) or even better ‘shrimp and gumbo’ (haven’t) going ridiculously cheap on Ebay, but being ridiculously poor of late i daren’t even cast my eyes towards EvilBAY. i wonder if our lord knows how much we were all spending in Ebay and has sent us this CRcrunch as a form of contrition. twas deffo the first on my cutback list. ludditism aside everything’s been so double busy of late that there’s been no time. i’ve been constantly running out of time and have needed a time transplant just to be here with you now. suppose i should quit the waffling and bring you all up to date with the year so far.
January started slowly with a lot of yawning which rather got in the way of the early dubbing sessions for the l.p. we hadn’t played together as a band without the headphone playback only sitch we’d got used to in the studio (we were concentrating on drum takes as we only have 1 firewall) since november so we knew with oasis support coming up in feb we should really get rehearsin. then in the third week of january something magical happened. we got a regular rehearsal space. something we had yet to enjoy the luxury of. we could rehearse 4 days a week at least. not being used to being able to have a room with all the band present with such regularity of course i started being a knobhead and started rehearsing all my unfinished material for the next 2 long players just in case i didn’t get the chance ( a bit like one of thoe poor old geffers who has a room full of tin cans cos they haven’t quite got their heads round the fact that world war 2 rationing is over) again. played the zanzi at the end of the first week at which nick and stu played blinders and come to think of it didn’t do too bad myself. anyways we got to spend the next weeks just playin and playin which is what bands should do. fuck havin people there to listen, rehearsals are where its at. gettin lost in a riff for 2 hous whilst you try stuff out (well that’s my excuse) and the poor young lady who works there at weekends is waiting to lock up. thi is what being in a band is all about. making people wait til you can be bothered to shut up. ACTUALLY NO! its more about taste and respect and entertaining people (more about that later). but a little of the above won’t do you no harm once in a while. anyway before we knew it feb and the europeant tour was upon us.
having been decided for us that we’d probably play a better show if we didn’t arrive with the van to madrid (we didn’t care about the miles as long as it got warmer along the way) we flew there in true package style. even the people who’d won the competition were looking at us like we’d won the competition. we arrived later via tube to the city centre and thanks to the world’s worst street map ever we found our hotel and watched liverpool on the telly or was it england i’m not very good with these things you see. oh hello to laura from mcdons by the way.
next morning we awoke to the day of our 7th gig. some sports place or other in madrid. somehow we managed to get ourselves in as our TM had yet to arrive and then we started to witness the friendliness and respectfulness that is being looked after by the oasis band and crew. serious for a moment i’d like to thank every one of them from the girls in catterick to mr spoon’s backstage amp repair shop and doe my dear and well everyone. maybe more name checking later. we got out on stage later that night and something was different to our usual gig right away. i think it may have had something to do with the ten thousand spaniards. much more encouraging than the rabble we had expected. was so incredibly proud of the lads and the blinder they played that night. couldn’t have gone smoother our first stadium show and maybe we were ready for what might be looked upon as A LITTLE BIT OF DRIVING….............................................to be continued

Loudsoul Overview: One of my friends refer me to this blog which is nice to read, I have browsed many pages of this great dedicated hosting and also have read many post, really all the posts were great to read and they were much interesting for me, Especially this post, infact your writing style is too good which is always easy to read and understand web site design as well. I know the many other blog authors that use the very professional language which is never easily understandable for the readers that’s why most of the reader don’t get back to their blogs and in internet marketing this way they lose their traffic which is never good but this blog is really too good to read man,
