Hello all! We’re all back home safe and sound from Free Peace’s European adventure supporting Oasis. First of all would like to say a massive thanks to Noel Gallagher for inviting Free Peace to support Oasis in the first place. Thanks also to everyone else - Liam, Gem, Andy and all the technical crew, who were so helpful and nice when FP; mislaid their drumsticks/ had sore throats/couldn’t get their effects pedals to work,etc etc. The whole tour was a fantastic success and we’ve all made new friends all over Europe. Thanks for watching Free Peace and thanks for all the nice comments all over the internet! So that’s probably enough thank you’s for the time being.
We s’pose the main big news at the moment is the fact that Oasis have asked Free Peace to support them again at their ‘monster’ UK shows in Heaton Park, Manchester in June (6th and 7th) - which should be brill. Get there early if you wanna see them though, as there are quite a few other support acts also on the bill.
Regarding Loud Soul releases - the Free Peace debut e.p. is still available for mail order and download. We’re made up with how well it’s been received. In case you’re wondering about the 2nd e.p. - we’ve decided to put the release back for a while - more news about this soon.
Free Peace are back in the studio recording now. Edgar is going to start a weekly blog - just to keep people up to date on how tings are goin’/how the tour went etc etc. This will be posted in the next few days - together with photos.
Don’t forget TONIGHT - SAT 14TH MARCH 09 - ***BLOW UP GIG @ BAR RUMBA, 36 SHAFTESBURY AVENUE, LONDON, WC1** Free Peace are playing at the all new Blow Up Club. Doors 10 pm. Tickets about 6 quid. See you there and catch you soon
